As a nurturer and a joy junkie, baking is my destined path.
I first put on an oven mitt when I was 7 years old. I guess you could call me a thoroughly smitten mitten as I loved gifting my finished creations and seeing the joy that they would bring. I’ve been cultivating joy every day since November of 2007, when I first opened the doors to Dolce Bakery.
On Dolce's opening day, I was terrified that no one would walk through the door. On the contrary, we received the warmest welcome and I still get teary thinking about how fast our FULL pastry cases emptied during our first holiday season.
My goal has always been to create an atmosphere at Dolce where people feel warm and welcome, comfortable and connected. Nothing sets a comfy stage better than the smell of my aunt’s cinnamon roll recipe wafting through the air—shout out to Aunt Cindy! While we continue to bake many of our original recipes, cinnamon rolls included, we are always flexing our creative muscles in the kitchen developing new delicious treats.
My team has grown so much since our early days, but no matter how large we grow, our motto will always remain the same: Every batch from scratch.
We don’t believe in cutting corners, unless of course, it’s a pan of brownies still warm from the oven. We pride ourselves on our carefully crafted creations and love to provide a joyful service to our customers and our community.
And the proof is in the pudding. We recently received a customer request to pipe “I love you madly” on a cake. Being a part of those interactions is pure gold for our souls!
A gigantic thank you goes out to my supportive family, my hardworking and dedicated staff and to all of our wonderful customers. One of my greatest gifts is being on this journey with you.
